How do I put my references into Harvard? (Cite Them Right or DMU Harvard)

Answer

There are hundreds of referencing styles available on RefWorks. To set up Harvard (Cite Them Right) or DMU Havard on your account, log in to RefWorks and follow these instructions:

  • Click on 'Normal view' in the top right hand corner of the page and click on the cog symbol next to Citation View

  • Click on the dropdown box underneath Select citation style and then click on the dropdown arrow next to Recent styles. Cite Them Right (Harvard) and DMU Harvard appear in this list. Click on the one you want.

  • Click Save
     

Note: All students starting their studies in September 2020 should use the Harvard (Cite Them Right) style. If you are a continuing student, you have the option of using Harvard (Cite Them Right) or DMU Harvard. Check in your programme handbook or with your programme leader as to which style they prefer you to use.
