Can you use a section break on a same page in MS Word? When would I use this?

Answer

You can add a continuous section break at any point in a page in MS Word. This could be useful if you change the layout of a page mid-way e.g. add columns (Layout Tab | Columns).

  1. Place your mouse cursor on your page where you need to add a 'break'
  2. Select Layout Tab
  3. Select breaks
  4. Select 'Continuous'
