Is there a mobile app for LearningZone? What is Brightspace Pulse?

Brightspace Pulse LearningZone appYes there is a mobile app which is downloadable from the Play Store called 'Brightspace Pulse'. 
Download the app from the Google or Play Store depending on your device.

If you access LearningZone from the MyDMU mobile app you will be prompted to download the 'Brightspace Pulse app if you have not done so.

Please note the app is called 'Brightspace Pulse'  and is the name given by the software supplier of our virtual learning environment - LearningZone. Downloading this app will allow you to access LearningZone via your mobile.

Accessing LearningZone from MyDMU from a desktop computer or laptop will take you to LearningZone directly.

BrightSpace Pulse Supported Operating Systems:

  • AndroidTM 6.0 (2015 release) or later on tablets or phones
  • iOS® 13.0 or later on iPhone®, iPad®, and iPod® touch

BrightSpace Pulse Notifications:

On downloading Pulse, you will need to in your mobile Settings and Notifications set this to allow notifications from the Pulse app if you wish to get notifications via the Pulse app. Note that all push notifications are enabled by default when you download Pulse and you can receive a lot of notifications on your mobile. You can change your preferences on what push notifications you receive by selecting the blue DMU logo in Pulse | Settings | Push Notifications. Simply swipe on the course activity areas that you wish to disable.

Mobile Language Setting:

Please note that if your mobile language setting is set to a language other than english, the Pulse app will be in that language setting. You can change this to english if required by going to your mobile setting, Apps, locating Pulse, locate Language and set this to English (UK) accordingly (Android). This may vary slightly in a iOS.
