This depends on how the assignment Turnitin link in your LearningZone module has been set up by your lecturers.
Your lecturers set up the Turnitin links and have the option to set the submission options for any assignment, for example how many times you can submit e.g. allow only one submission or submit as many times up until the due date.
You can check the assignment instructions when you access the assignment in your LearningZone modules.
In the main lecturers will set up the assignments links from the Assignment tab in your LearningZone module navigation bar - read more here on Turnitin submissions. This is explained in A. below.
A. To check the assignment submission settings for a Turnitin link in your LearningZone module:
- Go to the LearningZone module where you have the assignment submission
- Locate the assignment title submission link from the Assignments Tab module navigation bar
- Check the assignment instruction by selecting 'Show Assignment Information' (see image 1 below). If the instructions are not there, please check with your lecturer.

B. Your lecturers can also set up Turnitin assignment submission links in content areas in your LearningZone modules. This is explained in below
If your lecturer has set the assignment link from a content unit in your LearningZone Module (read more about this here in the full LearningZone Guide) you can check the assignment instructions in this setup to see if you can submit more than once up until the due date.
To check the assignment submission settings for a Turnitin link set in a content unit in your LearningZone module:
- Select the appropriate Content Unit in your LearningZone Module
- Locate the correct assignment link. See image 2 below:

This will take you to the 'Assignment Dashboard' and details for the Turnitin assignment submission.Select the arrow to expand the any assignment instructions. You can check here if resubmissions are allowed under 'Additional Settings'. If they are allowed this means you can submit as many times as needed up until the Due Date. This also means a new similarity report will be generated every time you submit and previous ones will be overwritten every time you resubmit (so previous similarity reports generated from earlier draft submissions will be overwritten). If you wish to keep a copy of the similarity reports of previous submission you can. This can be done when you are viewing the similarity report and select the download grey arrow icon and 'current view'. Read more here.
If you are not sure, contact your lecturer who set the assignment.
