What referencing style is used at DMU and how can students get referencing support?
Answer
The standard style used within DMU is ‘Harvard Cite them right’. However, other referencing styles may be more applicable in some subject areas. Referencing guidance is available here and this includes a link to the ‘Cite Them Right tool’, providing guidance on how to reference different types of information in a variety of different styles. A ‘single sign-in username and password’ will be required to access ‘Cite Them Right’
Students can also join our ‘online drop-in' to ask for referencing support (15 minute slots), or book on an ‘online 1:1 tutorial’ for more in-depth help with referencing (30 minutes). We also offer an ‘email referencing tutorial’ allowing students to upload a list of references and receive written feedback. Additionally, referencing workshops can be attended online through our Open Programme Workshop. More information about these support options from our librarians is available at this link.
