How do I book a study room?

Answer

DMU students can book Library study rooms at the following URL https://library.dmu.ac.uk/studyrooms. You will need your single sign-on details to place the booking.

  • rooms can be booked up to 10 days ahead, 24 hours a day
  • for a single booking you can select up to a maximum of four 30 minute slots (up to 2 hours)
  • there is a limit of two bookings per week
  • where a study space has not been booked and is available, 'walk-up' bookings can be made
  • **the responsibility is on the student who placed the booking to scan their card on entering the room within 10 minutes of the booking start time. Failure to do so is deemed a "no show" by the system and the room becomes available to other students to book the slot**

The following rooms are available to book:

Individual Study Rooms - Six rooms in Kimberlin Lower Ground Floor (maximum of 2 students)

Group study Rooms - Eight rooms in Kimberlin (on the Ground, and Lower Ground Floors), two in the Law Library. These syndicate rooms hold a maximum of 8 students.

Accessibility Study Rooms - Two rooms in Kimberlin Lower Ground Floor (maximum 2 students)

Law Library - 2 Syndicate Rooms available until 30 minutes before library closing time

* Syndicate spaces are also available on a first come, first served, basis in the Eric Wood study space during term time.
