I’ve created a table of statistics from different sources: how do I reference this in Harvard (Cite Them Right) style?

Answer

If you have compiled the table yourself but used statistics / data from published sources, then you need to be clear about each source you have used and include a citation for each.  This is usually done by listing the sources underneath the table with citations.  If you want to be clear about which data is from which source, you can include the citation in the data label or use a, b, c to differentiate e.g.:

Table 2: Notified cases of confirmed communicable diseases in England and Scotland in 2022

Disease

Englanda

Scotlandb

Gastroenteritis

11520

8596

Hepatitis B

2035

2678

Hepatitis C

3571

1964

Sources: aNHS England (2022); bNHS Scotland (2023).

Include a reference list entry for the sources in the reference list.  This example is in Harvard style but you can adjust the format of the citations according to the style you are using.
