Can I use an abbreviation for the name of an organization (e.g. NHS or WHO) in my citations and references in Harvard (Cite Them Right) style?

If you are citing a publication produced by an organisation you can use the abbreviated version of the name if it is one that is very well known e.g. NHS, BBC.  If you are not sure if the organisation is well-known, you should use the full name of the organisation the first time you cite it, then use the abbreviation for subsequent citations and in the reference list.

e.g.

……research funded by the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA, 2023) suggests that…

MIGA (2023) Investment update report. Washington, DC: World Bank.
