How do I reference a chapter in a book in Harvard (Cite Them Right) style?
Answer
If you are using a book which has an overall editor, and chapters are written by different authors, you may only want to refer to the chapter you have read. You then need to reference both the chapter and the book it appears in as follows:
Surname, Initial. (Year of publication) 'Title of chapter or section', in Initial. Surname (ed.) Title of book. Place of publication: Publisher, Page reference.
E.g.
Karim, R., Tretten, T. and Kumar, U. (2018) ‘eMaintenance’, in M. Pecht and M. Kang (eds) Prognostics and health management of electronics: fundamentals, machine learning, and the internet of things. Hoboken, NJ: John Wiley & Sons, pp. 559–587.
